A Bit of Background

Thanks for visiting our website. Here is a little bit of history about myself and the vision I have for my program.I started working in the dog world about 25 years ago as a camp counselor at a dog camp. All of my teenage years were spent caring for dogs that came to board in New Hampshire from NYC. I had a number of roles at the camp, from doing pack walks in the local park to driving to the big city to pick up and drop off dogs.  After highschool I attended grooming school right outside of St. Louis at the Pet Academy. Going to grooming school right out of high school was an amazing experience and set me up to come home to New Hampshire and start up my own grooming salon. I established the Snooty Pooch Pet Spa in 2010 and have worked on every breed small and large, you can visit the salon's facebook page to see what we stay busy with when we are not working with our poodles.  During the first years of running my salon I raised and showed Pomeranians learning the ins and outs of the show world. After a while I decided to take a break from breeding and showing and have babies of my own. Then 5 years ago I came across a 9 month old standard poodle at our local shelter and fell in love. Kobi became one of my kids and is an amazing family dog, after that it was all history. My household now consists 5 standard poodles and six kids and there is never a dull moment.  My goal in raising Standard Poodles is to create some retrieving lines that I can enjoy working in the field and doing field trails with down the road. I have acquired some talented proven retrieving lines in my dogs and I am focusing on building upon those lines. Standard poodles are amazing family dogs that are devoted and loyal to their people. I hope every puppy that comes from our breeding program can be an amazing addition to another family.
